Who We Are

Oak Street Pictures, founded by Renée Frigo in 2017, collaborates with visionary filmmakers and artists to bring compelling, story-driven content to audiences. Before launching the company, Renée co-founded LUCINI ITALIA, the leading premium Italian food brand in the U.S., following a diverse career in music A&R publishing and production.

Up next is MARCELLA, a documentary on legendary cookbook author Marcella Hazan—whom Julia Child called “her mentor for all things Italian”—set for theatrical and broadcast release in 2025.

The company also produced Love, Charlie: The Rise and Fall of Chef Charlie Trotter (Netflix), which received critical and audience acclaim. Oak Street Pictures continues to celebrate the success of Nine Days (Sony Pictures Classics) and Tesla (IFC), both Sundance premieres that earned top screenwriting awards. The company also supported the creation Ashe ’68, executive produced by John Legend, which premiered at Sundance and Tribeca and was nominated for a Sports Emmy.
